Our clinic prides itself on offering the best and most effective forms of hair removal.  We have a 35 year history of providing hair removal.  Trudy Fleming started her career as a specialist electrologist in London before moving to Australia in the early 1980's.  Over the years she and her staff have introduced laser and Intense Pulsed Light to complete the range of hair reduction technology currently available at the Fleming Clinics. 

Intense Pulsed Light [IPL] is a range of wavelengths of light, [different colours of light are created by different sized wavelengths]. Certain wavelengths of light are attracted to melanin which is the pigment found in hair. The range of light is very specific and only uses wavelengths that have good melanin absorption. The melanin absorbability can also be used to treat pigmented lesion with great success.

When the hair absorbs the light, heat is created which disables the follicle wall surrounding the hair. When follicle stem cells have been destroyed, they are not able to produce another hair.
