Micro Skin Needling

Please note: This workshop is for highly trained and experienced Skin/Beauty Therapists only.

This is a 1 day [long day] advanced course for experienced skin therapists. It offers training in the use of rollers with a series of fine needles [varying lengths], for advanced treatments for Collagen Induction Therapy [CIT], skin rejuvenation, acne, sun damage, scaring  and many more conditions.  Theory of the treatment process is followed by demonstrations and hands on training.  Only trainers and guest speakers who are experienced in their field and at the top of their profession are involved with this new and prestigious course.  To be able to perform this treatment in your business premises, you need a Health Department registration for Skin Penetration.  If you already offer electrolysis, cosmetic tattooing or piercing then you will already have this registration.  You may also need to amend your insurance to include this new treatment.

Course structure

One Day workshop - 9.00am -7.30pm [aprox]

Theory [9am - 12 noon aprox]

• Conditions treatable
• How Micro Skin Needling works for various skin dissorders and conditions 
• Contra-indications/special precautions
• Wound healing
• Topical anaesthesia, types and variations, incubation/development times
• Pre and Post treatment cautions and considerations
• Informed consent, treatment record sheet and other pertinent paper work  
• Expectations and outcomes
• Clinical techniques 
• Treatment parameters and protocols
• Treatment program
• Post treatment considerations
• Home care considerations

 

Practical [1.00pm - 7.15pm aprox]

• 1.00pm - 1st set of models anaesthesised
• 2.00pm - needling procedure on models
• 3.00pm- 2nd set of models anaesthesised
• 4.00pm - needling procedure on models
• 5.00pm - half of students anaesthesised
• 5.30pm - 2nd half of students anaesthesised
• 600pm - 1st half of models receive needling treatment by 2nd half
• 6.45pm - 2nd half of models receive needling treatment by 1st half
• 7.30pm - finish course

students will usually work in groups of 2 in a practical room and will be supervised at all times.  We will be using a variety of skin needling products by different manufacturers, along with a range of anaesesia products.

Althogh the day is long, there will be breaks while anaesthesia is incubating on the skin of the models. 

Workshop includes:Training notes, all treatment products [including roller systems and topical anaesthesia] for training use, your own home-care Skin Needling roller to take away with you, certificate of completion, morning and afternoon refreshments, [byo lunch].  You will receive a certificate of completion for this course.

Time: 9.00am to aprox 7.30pm. [extended day course].

Investment: $900.00 + GST [further staff at $750.00 + GST each if booked into same class]
