ITEC Diploma in Laser and Intense Pulsed Light Treatments

Please note that this course has International recognition however does not lead to a Nationally Recognised Qualification under the AQTF.

The ITEC Diploma in Laser and Intense Pulsed Light Treatments is a comprehensive course.

The ITEC diploma course is intended to run concurrently with the Course in Safety and Clinical Applications using Intense Pulsed Light. However, further assessment is required to gain the ITEC qualification. Besides meeting the assessment criteria for our Australian qualification, you will also sit an ITEC theory paper, have a practical assessment by an outside ITEC examiner and you will need to treat case studies in your workplace and submit your results and findings.

If you have already gained the Course in Safety and Clinical Applications using Intense Pulsed Light qualification, you may enrol at any time to return to the Institute to sit the ITEC exam.

 
The ITEC diploma will be offered 2 times per year following a normal IPL training course. It will however incure an extra 2 days and so will run on a Saturday and Sunday. There will be an extra fee attached to the regular fees to cover the ITEC examiner and assessment fees.

Description

Treatments for the purpose of improving the condition of the skin by the use of Laser and Intense Pulsed Light equipment.

Documents:

Time: 9am to 4pm aprox [depending on individual exam times].

Practical assessment starts from 9am on first day [usually Saturday]

Theory exam starts 9pm [usually Sunday]

Investment: ITEC exam fees can vary with how many are booked to sit it.  More expensive if only a few are sitting it. [talk to institute to confirm figure]

Course Structure

Pre-requisites – Certificate 4, or diploma of Beauty Therapy, or nursing or medical degree or equivalent, and the Course in Safety and Clinical Applications Using Intense Pulsed Light.
